I have accumulated ample experience working with number of national and international associations. Peace Corps Nepal, Cornell Nepal Study Program, Pitzer College, Inter Cultural Training and Research Centre (ITC) and Sojourn Nepal are few noticeable organizations among them.
During my career, I taught Nepali language to the American Peace Corps Volunteers, VSO Volunteer (British Volunteer), Professionals, Researchers of different nationalities.I am also involved in teaching Nepali language to foreign students. I am actively involved with Fulbright students and I was associated with Cornell Nepal Study Program (CNSP) where I imparted knowledge to students of different educational level, under graduate to PhD.
Language is a basic tool for social life. Language learning is also associated to the culture of linguistic group. I believe language learning should be relevant, up to date and functional.
We use various teaching methods based on natural techniques. Teaching method emphasize on conversation techniques intending development of student's communication skill. We encourage students to apply their knowledge in daily life as much as possible. Individual students learning style is profoundly considered to select the teaching methods. Classes can be scheduled on individual or group basis.
We provide language course at different level according to the level of students. We have divided courses on three categories.
Course structure is designed on the basis of purpose and level of students. Considering learner's language requirement and his/her nature of work lesson plan will be devised. Basically we teach standard Nepali language but we also provide knowledge of colloquial Nepali. We also teach Lerner's work related specific 'Technical Language'.
We offer classes for all level of learners regardless of any age group, educational background and professions. We also provide short period language classes for tourists, trekkers and visitors.
We use various teaching materials. Beside language text book, we use handouts, pictures, audio video, realia, props, blocks, flash cards, charts etc. depending on Lerner's learning style and level.
In order to review the lesson and excessive practice, we do lots of language activities. There are inside and outside classroom activities. For every lesson teacher gives assignments and exercises. After reaching in a certain level, sometimes teacher send students for community contact assignments voluntarily.
From the first day of reading and writing 'Devnagari script' class, learners recognizes the letters, read word, and write.In every reading and writing class teacher introduces five to six consonants, three to four vowel and symbolic vowel.
note: reading and writing class is not compulsory. We only do reading and writing class, according to student's necessity.
We also provide classes on Skype.

Every new lesson teacher would give topic related cultural tips. Teacher explain about where, when, with whom and how to use the language which is culturally and socially appropriate.
My name is Binita Kharel. I am born in Sweden and I have a Swedish mother and a Nepalese father. Sunita-ji was a wonderful tutor! I took lessons with her for three months during my stay in Kathmandu. Sunita is an excellent language teacher. She is very patient and makes sure that you have a strong foundation in all the material. I requested Sunita to focus on my conversation skills, and she did that. We would generally spend the first part of the lesson conversing in Nepali, then working on whichever verb/ grammar we had been working on in the previous class and then finishing up by some reading and questions about that reading. Sunita also uses a language textbook along with her own handouts, making it very easy to follow the course of lessons. Furthermore, Sunita is very clear in her language instruction and speaking and very approachable as a teacher. I would highly recommend her to anyone hoping to learn Nepali.
Sunita is an amazing teacher who personalizes every class to each individual student. She is extremely patient and flexible in her scheduling and pedagogy.
